FABRICANT AND OTHER MPs MEET AT QUEEN’S HOSPITAL BURTON
Michael Fabricant along with Heather Wheeler (MP for South Derbyshire), Chris Pincher (MP for Tamworth) and Andrew Griffiths (MP for Burton) met with Helen Scott-South, the Chief Executive of Queen’s Hospital Burton at 1pm today (23rd January). “Our main reason for meeting the Chief Executive was to discuss the future of the A&E Department at Burton” says Michael Fabricant. My constituents in Alrewas and Barton under Needwood in particular require ready access to A&E in Burton.
“But I also wanted to focus in on the future of the minor injuries unit at the Samuel Johnson Hospital in Lichfield. I made it clear that there is a major need for this unit in Lichfield and I would like to see local GPs working alongside nursing staff at the Samuel Johnson to provide an even better service by having one or more of the local GP practices move into the Samuel Johnson Hospital which is centrally located in the City.”
