MICHAEL AWARDS TESCO GIFTS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS
Michael Fabricant visited the Tesco Extra in Lichfield today (Friday 12th November) – not for his weekly shop, but to give Tesco awards to four local primary schools: St Chad’s, St Michael’s, Charnwood, and Christ Church. The gifts included computer and sports equipment. Michael Fabricant says: "This was a great event and I am pleased to see Tesco taking a pro-active role in Lichfield and the community as a whole. Tesco is now a major world player with stores as far away as Beijing so it’s good to see them taking a local interest too."
Michael was accompanied by store manager, John Sheward who said: "It was great to have Michael visit us today. The Tesco Schools and Clubs Scheme was introduced in 2009 and community is at the very heart of the Tesco Business. It was a real pleasure awarding these gifts to local schools."
The two pictures show Michael Fabricant and John Sheward with all the pupils and teachers at Tesco Extra in Lichfield and also with two pupils from St Chads Church of England Primary School.
