NO ANTI-VIRALS IN LICHFIELD OR BURNTWOOD
In a letter to Michael Fabricant dated 24th July, Secretary of State for
Health, Andy Burnham, has listed the confidential locations for
anti-viral collection points for treatment of swine flu. "But neither
Lichfield nor Burntwood are listed as locations" says Michael Fabricant.
"Instead, my constituents will have to travel to Tamworth, Stafford,
Rugeley, or Burton to collect Tamiflu or other anti-virals to combat
swine flu. This is a serious omission. I shall be asking the South
Staffordshire Primary Care Trust to provide collection points (ACPs) in
both Lichfield and Burntwood.
"Existing locations include supermarkets, chemists, and other major
stores. There is no excuse for omitting Lichfield and Burntwood which
are major population centres" Michael adds.
