Michael Fabricant says:  “Figures published today (18^th April) show that in March 2023, there were 1,430 claimants in the Lichfield Parliamentary constituency, which was 2.5% of the population aged 16-64. This compares well with the national claimant rate of 3.7%.

“There were 245 claimants aged 18-24, which was 4.1% of the population aged 18-24. The equivalent UK claimant rate was 4.8%.”

Over the past year the number of claimants has fallen by 20 in Lichfield and Burntwood.
