Midlands Air Ambulance
Michael Fabricant met Keith Marriott (Chair), Hanna Sebright (Chief Executive), and other officers of the Midlands Air Ambulance today (7th March) in the House of Commons.
“I have long been a supporter of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity which now covers the largest area in the UK” says Michael Fabricant. “For 32 years since 1991, Midlands Air Ambulance has responded to more than 72,000 missions and now operates three helicopters and three critical care vehicles from six separate locations including Tatenhill Airport in the Lichfield constituency.
“The name of the organisation emphasises that it’s a charity and receives no direct funding from the NHS. I am keen that it does so and from other Government funding sources too and will continue to press the Government on this. I have already spoken to the Health Secretary about this.
“In the meantime, I look forward to meeting the medics and air crew at the Tatenhill airbase before too long.”
