Meeting to Discuss Pitch Rents and Energy Rebates on Mobile Home Parks
Michael Fabricant today (3rd February) met Peter Blakeway, the Chairman of Lower Lodge Residents in Armitage near Lichfield along with around 50 residents and was joined by Cllr Richard Cox, the County Councillor for the area.
“We discussed a number of issues which are peculiar to residents of mobile home parks ranging from the availability of liquid petroleum gas to pitch fees and help with utility bills. I was able to explain that the Mobile Homes (Pitch Fees) Bill is passing rapidly through Parliament and will hopefully become law by late spring. This will reduce the amount by which pitch fees increase each year. I was also able to explain how help will be available from the Government this month with the cost of utility bills.
“Cllr Richard Cox and I answered a series of questions while Richard talked about speeding issues along Rugeley Road which passes by the Lower Lodge Mobile Home Park. Around 50 residents attended and it was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about the issues affecting mobile home owners.”
