Michael Fabricant was out and about this morning in Hammerwich helping Hammerwich Parish Councillors and volunteers from Walsall Ramblers Club clear up vegetation and litter from public footpaths and rights of way.

“This was a long standing engagement which I had been looking forward to” says Michael.  “As a very keen walker, I know how important the clearing of footpaths and rights of way are.  It is not just litter, it is the clearing of overgrowing vegetation and the maintenance of stiles which help walkers on their way.  Britain is one of the very few countries in the world with public rights of way and we should all work together to maintain them” says Michael.
