RE-ELECTED WITH AN INCREASED MAJORITY
Commenting on his re-election to Parliament at 5.17am on the morning of 8th May with an increased majority (18,189), Michael Fabricant says:
“I am delighted and honoured to have been re-elected as the MP for the beautiful Lichfield constituency – and with an increased majority. I would like to thank my enthusiastic election campaign team and especially my agent, Jean Simpson, who have helped me over the weeks. And I would also like to thank the 28,389 people who voted for me!
“There are still many issues I need to pursue including HS2 and heavy trucks driving through the centres of Lichfield, Kings Bromley and Yoxall.
“It’s been a long campaign, but I am pleased for the country that there has been a decisive outcome nationally. I would not want all our sacrifice over the last five years to go in vain just as the economy is recovering.
“After a couple of days’ break, I shall return to the work of representing the Lichfield constituency with my usual vim and vigour!”
