MICHAEL VISITS ROXANE
Michael Fabricant today (5th December) visited Roxane UK in Fradley near Lichfield which will become the largest water bottling plant in the UK next year.
Michael says: “Come 2015, 350 million bottles of water from springs near Lichfield will be bottled under the Cristaline label and under the brand names of several well-known supermarkets. It will become the largest water bottling plant in the UK. This is from a standing start when the plant first came to Lichfield in 2012.
“I was fascinated to visit the plant where they not only hygienically bottle the local water, but make the bottles in which the water is contained. Around half the staff are currently French and I was amused to see not only 13amp British sockets in use in the offices, but French sockets too. The French staff told me they love living in and around Lichfield and enjoy the night-life and good food the City has to offer. And the company tells me that they have been delighted with the welcome they have received from Lichfield and its District Council.”
Michael met Don Wightman, a director of Roxane UK, and Carl Fenwick their Operations Manager.
