Petitioners for changes of route to HS2 Phase 1 now have until the deadline of Friday 16th May (for local authorities – except parish councils – and businesses) and Friday 23rd May inclusive for all others to file their petitions. Each Petition must be deposited with the Private Bill Office of the House of Commons and be accompanied by a House of Commons filing fee of £20.

Michael Fabricant will be assisting Lichfield (Parliamentary Constituency) residents by depositing their Petitions for them, though the practical process may mean that he will require the petitions one week in advance of the official deadlines. Detailed instructions will be given later.
