Michael Fabricant opened the Macmillan Cancer Support Christmas Fayre at the Waterfront Pub & Restaurant at Barton under Needwood at 11am today (Sunday 24th November).

“The Fayre was organised by Angela and Gemma Russell with the help of Bob and Paul Russell and other members of their family and friends. It is a real team effort” says Michael. “Sadly they lost a close relative to cancer and it was during her care that they saw at first-hand the dedicated and specialist treatment that Macmillan nurses and doctors can provide.

“It is wonderful that they have organised this Fayre to give something back with the generosity of the owners of the Waterfront who have donated their facilities free of charge. This is a great example of giving.”
