Michael attended the launch of the 90th Poppy Appeal outside the Guildhall on Saturday 22nd October. "I was honoured to be invited. Lichfield is one of the very few Poppy Appeals in the country which has run continuously, without interruption, since its formation in 1921. This exemplifies the community spirit we enjoy in Lichfield. And with soldiers now being killed and injured on operations in Afghanistan and elsewhere overseas, the work of the Royal British Legion is every bit as relevant today as it was back in 1921."
