Michael Fabricant awarded his cup for Landscaping Painting at the Lichfield Society of Artists Autumn Exhibition to Judith Truman for her painting ‘We knew it would rain’ on Saturday 2nd October.

Michael, who is Patron of the Society but not a judge, said "This painting of Crummock Water in the Lake District is highly evocative of the district: in the sunshine it is a delight, but when the rain comes it brings a beauty all of its own. This painting shows it at its best".
