MICHAEL, WORDS, AND WILLOW
Michael Fabricant joined school children from Ridgeway Primary School in Burntwood at the National Memorial Arboretum near Lichfield on Friday 2nd July for a project combining willow weaving and poetry. "This is a project with the ‘wow’ factor" says Michael. "Created as a community outreach project by Chase Terrace Technology College, it combined the weaving of willow into fantastic shapes including aeroplanes, conkers, and a polar bear with the writing of poetry – all linked to the spirit of remembrance inspired by the location. What a fantastic collaboration between the College and the National Memorial Arboretum."
