ANTI VIRAL COLLECTION POINT OPENS IN LICHFIELD (BUT NOT IN BURNTWOOD AND UTTOXETER)
Further to the News Release issued on the 25th July (see
www.michael.fabricant.mp.co.uk/news-00870.ihtml), an Anti Viral
Collection Point (ACP) has now opened in Lichfield, but there still
remains no site in Burntwood.
Michael Fabricant says: "I am pleased that Tamiflu can now be collected
from a location in Lichfield for the treatment of swine flu, but we
still need a site in Burntwood. Elderly friends of swine flu victims
and those without private transport will find it difficult to travel any
distance and it is important that Tamiflu is administered within 2 days
of symptoms showing. I shall continue to press the Primary Care Trust
for an ACP in Burntwood.
"I am also concerned that there does not appear to be an ACP in
Uttoxeter in the list of addresses provided to me by the Health
Secretary, Andy Burnham. While Uttoxeter is in the Burton Parliamentary
constituency, my constituents in Abbots Bromley would find it useful to
have a distribution centre there if they cannot have one in their own
village."
