CLOSURE OF YORKSHIRE BANK IN LICHFIELD
Michael Fabricant has expressed his regret and concern that the
Yorkshire Bank in Bore Street, Lichfield will close its doors for the
last time on 31st January 2006.
Although customers will be able to use ATM and other services in
Lichfield, Michael says "The Yorkshire Bank is to be commended for the
sensitive way they converted the Tudor building they occupy. Its glass
front and exposure of beams make the branch unique. I hope that its
future use will continue to be in keeping with the City and that both
Lichfield District Council and the City Council will use their powers to
ensure this."
