PARLIAMENTARY PUB AWARD
Michael Fabricant presented a certificate awarded by the All Party
Parliamentary Beer Group to the Landlord of the Earl of Lichfield Arms
pub (locally known as ‘The Drum’), Jason Keenan, today – 1st July 2005.
The Earl of Lichfield was nominated for the award by Alison Martinez
from Lichfield.
The pub is recommended "for serving great beer and food." Michael says
"There is an art to keeping real ale fresh and at the right temperature.
With so many good beers being brewed in Burton, and Pedigree is my
favourite, it is a ‘crime’ when some pubs ruin them by storing them in
the wrong conditions. The Earl of Lichfield deserves this award for
serving excellent beer in friendly – and historic – surroundings."
