LICHFIELD TO EDINBURGH FOR G8
Michael Fabricant waved off members of the Lichfield Global Justice
Group today, Friday 24th June, who will be heading up to Edinburgh on
2nd July to take part in the national Make Poverty History campaign.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to go to Edinburgh on that
day to take part in a protest against world poverty.
Michael Fabricant says: "The focus of the campaign is trade justice,
better aid and debt cancellation for the poorest countries in the world.
It has been organised to coincide with the G8 Summit in Gleneagles on
the 6th July when the world’s most powerful leaders will be meeting for
their conference. As ever, people in Lichfield care and campaign for
those not so well off as ourselves and that is something we can all be
proud of."
