DELAY TO ABBOTS BROMLEY SWITCH ON
Abbots Bromley, which was due to be broadband enabled on the 21st April,
will now have this service delayed until 25th August. A BT spokesman told
Michael Fabricant "The delay relates to the discovery during the late phases
of planning work that we need to install a new cable, which had not been
foreseen in the original plans. It is unfortunate and we are sorry for this
delay. The date will be amended on our website and the local campaign group
will be informed".
Michael Fabricant "I am sorry for local campaigners who worked so hard to
get the 150 names required to trigger BT to broadband-enable the exchange in
Abbots Bromley. They reached their target on 1st December last year. But
these things do happen and I hope that the exchange will be enabled no later
than the August deadline."
