MICHAEL FABRICANT APPOINTED SHADOW MINISTER FOR TRADE & INDUSTRY
Michael Fabricant has been appointed Shadow Minister for Trade and Industry.
Michael says "I am delighted and honoured to have been asked to serve on
the front bench team in a role which reflects my former career before I
became a Member of Parliament. It was manufacturing that put the ‘Great’
into Britain yet it is manufacturing that is suffering so badly under Labour
– particularly here in the West Midlands. I hope to influence policy in a
future Conservative Government that will help stimulate high technology
manufacturing and exports in our area."
Michael is an unpaid director of the Engineering and Technology Board which
promotes engineering in the UK, is a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical
Engineers, and formerly set up and ran a company which established radio and
television stations in 48 countries. Clients included the BBC and Capital
Radio – as well as Radio Moscow.
